A heating system for a home includes a radiator as one of its components. Main work of radiator is to spread heat and maintain a requisite internal temperature.
It is one that lay heat from hot water or steam and spreads it to the surrounding air.

1. Heat Source
A radiator is one of a home’s components in its heating system. Most gas-operated companies around the world today typically use gas, oil, or electricity for fuel.
The steam, which is generated by heating the water, is then propelled through the pipes to the house’s radiators.
2. Hot Water or Steam Flow
This hot water or steam gets into the radiator through an inlet pipe, as we have seen in the illustrations above.
Concerning the distinctions between hot water systems and radiator systems, the water itself circulates through the radiator and warms it up.
According to steam systems, steam ascends to the radiator, and when it cools and changes back into water, it gives heat.
3. Heat Transfer
The radiator, usually made of metal (like steel, aluminum, or cast iron), transfers heat to the room in two ways:
Radiation:
The radiator gives out heat directly into the room to warm the surrounding items or people.
Convection:
The air warms the radiator; it conveys this heat to other regions of its encompassing. Hot air ascends; the cooler air falls toward the radiator and moves the warm air all around the room.
4. Return to Boiler
In hot water systems, the now-cooled water is allowed to discharge from the radiator through an outlet pipe and then is circulated back to the boiler, where it is reheated.
The condensate return system conveys condensed water, now in liquid form, to the boiler.

5. Temperature Control
Most radiators come with either single-zone valves or Manually controlled valves (MCVs). However, more advanced models come with thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) that enable or facilitate the closing or opening of the hot water flow to control the room temperature.
Central thermostats control the overall temperature inside the home through the boiler or the furnace.

Hot Water Radiators:
CALORIFIER Modern homes are familiar with them, and they work by circulating hot water.
Steam Radiators:
Older houses can include them as they make use of steam and have unique hissing sounds.
Electric Radiators:
Dwellings that do not require connection to a boiler or central heating are individual ones.

Avoid placing furniture or curtains near radiators in order to achieve the best coverage possible.
Perform the bleed on the radiator from time to time to eliminate trapped air that hampers even heating.
